What is a Map Experience?

A map experience is a custom portfolio map experience to display the specific assets you desire.

For example:

  • You may create a map experience to display certain key assets and listings for a specific response to a tenant rep or prospective investors.

  • You can then keep track and analytics of that particular mapping experience, giving you a lot of power in just a few clicks.

What is a Synced Online Map vs a Customisable Map?

A Synced Online Map is a map that is live synced to your inventory based on filters or chosen assets, so that when there is an update to your Inspace Inventory CMS, it is reflected immediately on the live synced online report.

Whereas a Customisable Map is a map experience you can customise through the map creation process, and does NOT update when changes are made to the inventory database.

  • For example, you may add another listing that isn't on your database, or customise the language of certain listings for that particular link.

1) How to Create a Live Synced Online Map with Active Filters:

1.1) Create A Synced Online Map Experience:

In the Experiences tab (which you can reach by clicking the top left dropdown and selecting 'Experiences') click 'Create Experience' in the top right, click Mapping Experience, then select the Template and choose 'Synced Online Map'.

1.2) Choose Active Filters

In this case, we will choose Active Filters (see below for the distinction between Active Filters and Choose Individual Listings).

What is an Active Filter vs Choose Individual Listings?

Active Filter = The ability to populate your map via assets that fit into a set of filter criteria you set. On a synced online map this will update in real-time as your Inventory CMS updates.

For e.g. if you wanted to create a synced online map that had available listings within a floor area and price range for a prospect that updates as the CMS is updated, this would be the best option.

Choose Individual Listings = This option enables you to choose specific listings to populate a mapping experience that is synced to your Inspace Inventory CMS. Thus, whenever the selected asset(s) or listing(s) are updated, it's reflected live on the mapping experience link as well.

For e.g. you may have a prospect that wants to see 2 assets and you choose those specific listings to send.

1.3) Fill out the Mapping Experience Title + Description

Fill out the:

  • Title of the Mapping Experience (for e.g. 'Prospect Name Mar '24 Mapping Experience')

  • (Optional) Description

And click 'Next'.

1.4) Choose Your Active Filters

  • Choose via the left hand panel the filter criteria for your mapping experience and see it update on the right hand side with the content and listings that fit that criteria in your Inspace Inventory.

  • Because this a synced online mapping experience, if newly added listings fit the parameters specified, they will automatically be added. And if listing parameters fall out of the filters you've specified they will similarly be removed.

For example, you may choose for a prospect to filter to a certain sector, city, rent and floor area that you know they and other prospects are keen on.

You can then create a mapping experience for those filters and send it to any relevant prospects whenever you need.

1.5) Finish & Share

  • And then click 'Finish' in the bottom right to complete!

  • You will then be taken to a page where you can click 'Preview' to view the mapping experience, 'Edit' or 'Share' in the top right to make changes or copy the link to share with prospects and other stakeholders.

You will then find this experience in the 'My Experiences' folder of your Inspace Experiences

What are Choose Individual Listings vs Active Filters options?

Choose Individual Listings = This option enables you to choose specific listings to send in a mapping experience that is synced to your Inspace Inventory CMS, so that whenever the asset or listing is updated so is the report.

For e.g. you may have a prospect that wants to see 2 assets and you choose those specific listings to send.

Active Filter = The ability to populate your report via assets that fit into a set of filter criteria. On a synced online report this will update in real-time as your Inventory CMS updates.
